Family Design-Build Since The 1970s
Boatman Construction is a third-generation, family-owned commercial general contractor in Tomball. We hire the architects and the engineers ourselves, so you get one accountable team from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.

About Us
Shane D. Boatman is the second generation and his son is the third. They own the company together, fifty-fifty, and they both still walk the sites. Shane's father was an architect and a builder, which is why drawing a building and putting it up under one roof is simply how this family has always worked.

From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, one family-run team owns the outcome. Fewer meetings, fewer surprises, faster timelines.
We hire the architects and engineers, so drawings and construction never work against each other.
Call us and you reach the family whose name is on the building, not a fifth layer of management.
Surgical suites, water parks, athletic facilities, and yes, six yurts in Tomball. If it can be built, we build it.

What We Build
Build-to-suit, ground-up development, tilt wall, metal, medical, athletic, education, senior care, and residential by request. Statewide across Texas.

We carry the design and the construction together, from concept through certificate of occupancy.

Concrete panels poured on the slab and stood up, or a pre-engineered metal shell built to last.

Sterile suites, imaging, orthopedic and recovery space built to the code and to the doctor's workflow.
Our Process
Our streamlined process keeps every project moving with precision, collaboration, and one accountable team from concept to completion.
01

A footprint, a budget, a hunch. We start with a conversation, not a contract.
02

We hire the architects and engineers. One team, one set of drawings, no finger pointing.
03

Design and construction overlap, so permits, steel, and slab all move together.
04

One phone number for the whole job, right through to the day you open the doors.
Featured Project
First of its kind in Texas and the only one in the United States. The sign went up on Hwy 99 and within three hours it had gone viral. For a family shop out of Tomball, that is a proud afternoon, and it is the clearest answer we have to the question we hear most: can you build something nobody has built before?

Where We Work
We build statewide. Dallas, Austin and Bastrop, Midland, Webster, Magnolia, and plenty of places in between. If it is in Texas, we will drive to it.

Safety First
Safety is not a binder we keep in the trailer. It is how we get every crew member home to their own dinner table. Safety, quality, and productivity, in that order, on every job we run.
